Team Introduction: TVP TechSupport
What is the purpose of the Tech Support Team?
Regarding the fact that The Venus Project is mostly a web-based community and therefore uses many different types of hardware and software, it is quite clear and normal that we are facing a broad range of technical problems during the daily work within our teams and in communicating with others. The main purpose of the Tech Support Team is to provide help for these technical problems, meaning everything that has to do with computers and that is in context with your work for or with The Venus Project. For example, we cannot fix the brakes on your car (although we are all working towards a system in which we will do that also), but we will help you to setup your TVP email account if you have one in context with your work as a Point Of Contact. Maybe you have difficulties using Skype and therefore cannot reach certain people properly to discuss something about your teamwork for The Venus Project. If you are searching for a better way to do something, maybe you want to assign a hotkey for a certain function in some application. You name it, as long as it is in context with your volunteer work with The Venus Project and has to do with computers in some way (also smartphones, tablet-PCs etc. will be dealt with), we will try to show you how to solve your problem in the best way that we can.
So if I have some technical problem, how can I reach the Tech Support Team? How long do I have to wait for an answer?
At the moment there are 3 different ways to reach us:
- Visit www.youtube.com/tvptechsupport to see if there is already a tutorial video on the official TVPTechSupport YouTube channel. Whenever we can, we try to make one of these videos to provide easy step-by-step help. There is also a form on the page to request new topics for tutorial videos.
- Create a ticket on www.thevenusproject.com/techsupport. There is a ticket system where you can put your request into a form and send it to us.
- Write an email to tech.support@thevenusproject.com
Normally it will take less than one day until you receive an answer. In some cases it can take longer, if you do not receive any answer at all, please use try one of the other methods of contacting us (as described above).
